Meet Emilia Bassano. She’s angry at how she is silenced, struggling to publish, defined by the men in her life. Angry that she is remembered by history only as the “Dark Lady” of Shakespeare’s sonnets. A poet, a feminist, a mother and more. Can all these identities reside in the same person? An award-winning play with an all-female cast.
